The Dub Brothers Live at Rising Silo Brewery

Venue
Rising Silo Brewery
Blacksburg, VA

The Dub Brothers bring their soul, reggae and rock blend back to Rising Silo Brewery in Blacksburg on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It is an early, all ages, family and pet friendly evening at Blacksburg’s farm brewery, and there is no cover.

The Dub Brothers is the project of The Ambassador, the Virginia born soul and reggae singer Stephen Gabriel Lewis, alongside longtime creative partner Brent Hoskins, who records as RUSKINS. Together they build reggae-infused melodies, rhythmic exploration and heartfelt songwriting out of decades of playing between Southern California and Southwest Virginia. Between them they have shared stages with Midnite, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Stick Figure, Xavier Rudd and Amos Lee.

The Ambassador’s catalog includes New Roots, nominated for World Music Album of the Year at the San Diego Music Awards, and Cali Love, plus recent singles “If You Feel Like I Feel” and “Sweat and Move.” He also holds down a monthly Reggae Night residency at Martin’s Downtown in Roanoke and plays with the band Chosen Few. Hoskins has released Sketches Of… and A Tribute to Hugh Mundell, and his production ear is a big part of the duo’s dubwise low end.

Rising Silo Brewery sits out on Glade Road a few minutes from downtown Blacksburg and calls itself the town’s one and only farm brewery, working with organic malts, well water and solar power. The Farm & Forage Kitchen handles the food, the Tap Barn and the field out front handle the crowd, and live music runs most evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday. Bring a blanket, bring the dog, bring the kids.
