Love Songs on Sundays Fall Festival in Chesapeake
About This Event
Love Songs on Sundays: The Big Shift takes over Melanin Meadows Manor in Chesapeake on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM. It’s a family-friendly autumn festival of wellness, music and community, closing out with live performances that include Hampton Roads roots reggae singer David “Young Lion” Cuffee.
Young Lion brings positive, message-driven roots reggae with soulful vocals, and has shared originals like “Greetings” and “She’s So Sweet” on WTKR’s Coast Live. He shares the evening’s 7:15 PM entertainment block with Jennah and Marv P.
Love Songs on Sundays is a community series created by Shawana Ward and Korbin Brown. The Big Shift fills the afternoon with 15+ local vendors, live painting by CG Paints, a kid zone and bounce house, restorative yoga with Loni D., jewelry and plant terrarium workshops, a sound bath, and a health and wellness panel, all set outdoors at Melanin Meadows Manor on Truitt Road.
Early risers can ground themselves the day before at the LSOS Sunrise Yoga and Hike at Oak Grove Park in Chesapeake on Saturday, October 17, from 6:45 AM to 9:00 AM (donation-based).
