United Souls Live at Pecola’s in Hampton

Hampton’s own United Souls take over Pecola’s Tapas and Shisha Lounge on Friday, August 14, 2026, spinning reggae, dancehall and afrobeats from 8 to 11 PM. Presented by Megablast and RPM Management, it is a hometown show for one of the Peninsula’s longest running reggae outfits.
United Souls have been a fixture of the Hampton Roads scene for years, twice named Virginia Reggae’s Reggae Band of the Year, in 2010 and 2011. Led by bassist Ed Dread with dual lead vocalists I. Gabe and Shiloh on keys, the band moves easily between roots and lovers rock and the funk, soul and hip hop flavors that color their album Strobelights. Fans know them for the energy of their live sets, and a night billed as reggae, dancehall and afrobeats promises plenty of room to stretch out.
