United Souls Reggae Night at The Rhythm Room
About This Event
United Souls are back by popular demand for Reggae Night inside The Rhythm Room in Hampton on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM. After packing the Peninsula Town Center lounge in August, the hometown band returns for another grown folks night of live roots and lovers rock.
United Souls have been a fixture of the Hampton Roads reggae scene for two decades. Bassist and band leader Ed Dread anchors a lineup with Jr Harlon on strings, I. Gabe and Shiloh on lead vocals and keys, and JP on percussion, and their sets move easily between roots, lovers rock, dancehall favorites and Caribbean classics with a little funk and soul mixed in. They were named Reggae Band of the Year by Virginia Reggae in 2010 and 2011 and have played stages as big as the Hampton Coliseum.
The Rhythm Room is an upscale restaurant and lounge in Peninsula Town Center, built around good food and live music in an intimate room. Note the house rules: entry is 30 and over, and there is a $10 cover on Friday and Saturday nights for the entertainment.
