Sheppy U Live at Virginia CaribFest in Norfolk

Sheppy U and The Roots Regulation Band play Virginia CaribFest on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Town Point Park in Norfolk. A full live band set on a day weighted toward soca and dancehall DJs is worth planning around if roots is what you came for.
Virginia CaribFest is in its 21st year, run by the Virginia Caribbean American Cultural Association and spread across two days on the Norfolk waterfront under the banner One Culture, One Vibe, One Celebration. Friday, September 18 is the Kickoff Street Jam, gates at 4:00 PM and running to 10:00 PM on its own ticket. Saturday, September 19 is the main festival at Town Point Park, noon to 10:00 PM, with soca, dancehall and reggae across the day plus DJs, cultural performances, a Parade of the Bands, Caribbean food and a full vendor village. The weekend also carries J’Ouvert and the Caribbean Night on the Water boat ride.
It is rain or shine. Children 10 and under get in free with a paid adult, lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and outside food and drink are not permitted. VIP packages run from $900 to $1,400 and include reserved seating, premium bar and dining, and private restrooms. Free and paid parking are both available nearby.
Town Point Park sits on the Elizabeth River in Downtown Norfolk, the city’s main outdoor festival ground and an easy walk from Waterside District and the downtown hotels. Demarco and Lady Flame are also confirmed for the Saturday bill.
