Nature’s Child is Virginia Beach’s own and one of the hardest working reggae bands in Hampton Roads. Fronted by St. Lucia-born vocalist George, the band pulls roots reggae through rock, jazz, latin, blues and funk, with keys, sax and flute giving the sound its warmth. They have opened for Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and Third World, and their album The First Supper is still a fan favorite. This is a busy September for them, coming off the International Night Market and Wing King Kempsville the weekend before.
Rivers Casino Portsmouth sits on Victory Boulevard just off I-264, Virginia’s first full-service permanent casino, with live bands on weekends alongside its restaurants and event center. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID to enter the casino.
