Simz and Karib Kings present Libra Scales: Soca vs Reggae on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM at Spice Restaurant & Lounge on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond. It’s a Libra season birthday party built around a friendly battle, with soca on one side of the scale and reggae and dancehall on the other, and all Libras get in free.
JR Mixx, DJ Landmark, Killa Khan and DJ Ire hold down the music all night. Come ready to dance, wine, sing along and rep your culture: the promoters want flags in the air, whether you’re flying Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, St. Lucia or St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Good music, beautiful people, no bad energy.
Spice Restaurant & Lounge opened in early 2026 and serves a mix of modern Caribbean and Southern soul food, with jerk shrimp, island rolls and tropical drinks on the menu. It has quickly become a home for Caribbean nightlife in Richmond, including its weekly Passport Fridays of reggae, soca, dancehall and Afrobeats.
