Lazy Man Dub Band at Grandin Chillagefest
About This Event
Quietly the biggest party of the year. Grandin Chillagefest closes out the 2026 Grandin Chillage Street Party season on Saturday, October 24, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Grandin Village, Roanoke, with Lazy Man Dub Band bringing the reggae from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Lazy Man Dub Band is Roanoke’s hometown reggae institution. Formed in 2007, the nine-piece plays classic one-drop roots and dub with a modern edge, built on influences like Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Skatalites and The Maytals, with a horn section that makes every set. They’ve shared stages with The Original Wailers, John Brown’s Body and Culture, and a closing-time set on Grandin Road is right where they belong.
JStop Latin Soul opens the night from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Latin soul grooves to get things moving.
The Chillage is Grandin Village’s neighborhood street party, with Grandin Road closed to traffic for music, food and drinks. On the menu for Chillagefest: Countryman Jamaican, Queen Vegan and Grace’s Place Pizzeria, with beer from Olde Salem Brewery and Star Hill Brewery.
