Lazy Man Dub Band Live at The Dog Bowl

Venue
The Dog Bowl
Roanoke, VA

Lazy Man Dub Band headline 5PTS Outdoors at The Dog Bowl in Roanoke on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Doors open at 11:00 AM and the music starts around 12:30 PM, an all ages Sunday afternoon in the bowl behind Black Dog Salvage with tickets running $5 to $10.

Lazy Man Dub Band are Roanoke’s own, a roots reggae outfit built on a tight rhythm section and a real horn line, with Montego Bay born drummer Drummie Wayne anchoring the sound since the band came together more than a decade ago. They put out the album Former Champion in 2019, the one carrying the single “You Dub,” and they have spent the years since working Virginia stages, festivals and opening slots for national acts. Live, expect deep grooves, plenty of improvisation and a horn section that earns its keep. Roanoke Outside also lists Jstop Latin Soul, the Roanoke Latin soul band with a residency at Martin’s Downtown, on the bill.

The Dog Bowl is the natural amphitheater behind Black Dog Salvage on 13th Street SW, and 5 Points Music Sanctuary runs the 5PTS Outdoors series there. Sunday shows open at 11:00 AM and wrap around 4:00 PM, with rotating food trucks and vendors. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and one sealed water bottle per person. Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome, kids 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, and parking is in the lot across 13th Street, so carpooling helps. No outside food or drink, pop up tents or large umbrellas. This one is presented by Steel Dynamics, Roanoke Bar Division.
