The Ambassador and Chosen Few play Parkway Brewing Company in Salem on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. It is an early one and there is no cover, all ages, family and pet friendly, with that original soul, reggae and rock sound filling the taproom before the night is over.
The Ambassador is Stephen Gabriel Lewis, a Virginia native now based in Southern California who has kept a foot in both scenes. His sound runs reggae through blues, rock and hip hop, carried by a big soulful vocal, and he has performed and recorded alongside Midnite, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Stick Figure and Xavier Rudd. His album New Roots was nominated World Music Album of the Year at the San Diego Music Awards, and Cali Love followed in 2018 with the Pato Banton collaboration “Powerful Love.” Chosen Few is the full band he brings out when the room calls for more than an acoustic set, and this one does.
Parkway Brewing sits just off Exit 141 in Salem, a big taproom in the Blue Ridge that runs live music six nights a week and lets you bring your own food or catch whichever truck is parked out front. Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome. An early start and no cover make this an easy one to bring the whole crew to.
