United Souls Band is back by popular demand at Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge in Suffolk on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The Hampton band returns to the Pruden Boulevard lounge they helped open in July, and admission is free for Tailored Smoke members or $10 for non-members.
United Souls have been one of the most reliable live reggae acts in Hampton Roads for years. Led by Ed Dread on bass, the band blends roots, dub, funk, old school and R&B under strong, soulful lead vocals, and their sets move easily from conscious roots rhythms into lovers rock, dancehall favorites and Caribbean classics. They were named Virginia Reggae Band of the Year in 2010 and 2011, and they have become a regular fixture on the Tailored Smoke calendar at both the Newport News and Suffolk locations.
Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge and Restaurant opened its Suffolk location this summer at 2864 Pruden Boulevard, bringing the same upscale setup as the Newport News original: premium cigars, a full kitchen, craft cocktails and a regular lineup of live music. The lounge runs on a membership model, which is why members get in free.
