Kabaka Pyramid with LionsBridge at The Bunker Brewpub
About This Event
Grammy winner Kabaka Pyramid makes his debut at The Bunker Brewpub in Virginia Beach on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with Hampton Roads roots band LionsBridge on the bill. Music runs from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and tickets are $33.85 through Eventbrite.
Kabaka Pyramid is one of the leading voices of Jamaica’s reggae revival, a Kingston lyricist who moves between roots reggae, dancehall and hip-hop with sharp, conscious bars. His album The Kalling, produced with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, and this year he has kept the releases coming, including “Rotation,” a rub-a-dub salute to the DJs, selectors and sound systems who keep the music alive. He is out on his Link & Chain tour this fall.
LionsBridge is one of Hampton Roads’ premier roots reggae bands, known for roots, dub and original music and a strong following at festivals, breweries and venues across Virginia. They have also stepped up as a backing band for Jamaican legends, supporting Johnny Osbourne and Marcia Aitken at the Supernova Ska Festival, which makes them a natural fit to open this one.
The Bunker Brewpub is Young Veterans Brewing Company’s restaurant, brewery and live music venue a few blocks off the Oceanfront, with an open restaurant up front and a concert hall in back with a full bar and stage. Bay doors and big windows keep it anything but bunker-like. A midweek show with a Grammy winner this close to the beach is worth taking Thursday morning slow for.
