Nature’s Child is back on the patio at Sage Kitchen in Virginia Beach on Friday, September 25, 2026, playing live reggae from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM as part of the Sound Check series at Anderson’s. With the outdoor season winding down, this is one of the last chances to catch live music on the Sage Kitchen patio this year.
Nature’s Child is Virginia Beach’s own, and one of the most reliable reggae bands on the East Coast. Fronted by St. Lucia-born vocalist George, the band pulls roots reggae through rock, jazz, latin, blues and funk, with keys, sax and flute giving the sound its warmth. They have opened for Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and Third World over the years, and their album The First Supper is still a fan favorite. The band last played this patio in late August, and they head to Rivers Casino Portsmouth the following night.
Sage Kitchen sits inside the greenhouse at Anderson’s Garden Center on Fisher Arch, a farm-to-table spot with scratch-made food and a full cocktail list. Grab a table early, order dinner, and settle in for the whole set. Family friendly and free to attend.
