Cultivated Mind & The Militia at 2nd Sundays Williamsburg

Venue
Venue TBA
Williamsburg, VA

Cultivated Mind & The Militia bring live reggae to the 2nd Sundays Arts Festival in Williamsburg on Sunday, November 8, 2026, playing from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It’s a free-flowing Sunday in downtown Williamsburg: art, food trucks, a beer garden and a full band of roots and dub to soundtrack the stroll.

Cultivated Mind is the Hampton Roads reggae, dub and jazz project founded by producer Anthony “Tony” Brand in 2013, and The Militia is the full live band behind it. Their sound draws on old school dub production with touches of jazz, blues, salsa and East Coast hip hop, and their sets mix originals with medleys of reggae classics and dub versions of soul and blues tunes. They’re also the official reggae band of the Hippie-Fari Reggae Radio and Podcast. It’s been a busy fall for the band, from an acoustic set at Redd’s Filling Station to a Halloween party at Schooners Grill.

2nd Sundays Williamsburg, presented by LoveLight Placemaking, takes over about six blocks of downtown each month around North Boundary Street, Prince George Street and Merchants Square, with artisan vendors, several music stages, food and dessert trucks, a beer garden and a kids’ craft tent. Bring the family and make an afternoon of it.
